Facility
Our experienced staff will take the time needed to provide you with the highest quality dental care available. It is one of our top priorities to protect the well-being of our valued patients. For this reason, our office meets and surpasses all OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and CDC (Center for Disease Control) standards. We are confident that you will feel right at home in our office as we welcome all patients as if they were family.
Appointments
When an appointment is made for you, our facilities and personnel are reserved for you. Broken appointments are costly to the patients and to ourselves. We realize, however that sometimes cancellations are unavoidable. We ask that you notify us as soon as possible if such a cancellation is necessary so that someone else may use that appointment time. Failure to keep scheduled appointments without at least 24 hours notice can result in the loss of appointment privileges and a substantial charge. We will do our best to run on schedule, and we usually do; however, delays are sometimes unavoidable due to emergencies and unforeseen patient needs. New patients are welcome; and referrals are definitely appreciated! Please bring an accurate list of all medications you are taking to avoid delays. If your medical history is extensive, we will be happy to mail or email you a medical history form so you may fill it out in advance of your appointment. Consultation with you physician(s) is often needed prior to actual dental work.
Office Hours
Our office hours are 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday thru Thursday. We are closed from noon till 1:00 p.m. each day for lunch. After hours care is limited and for emergency care for patients of record only. My home number is (931) 368-1220. If you need immediate treatment, call us at (931) 648-3450 during the work week. We will do our best to work you in as soon as possible.
Financial
Payment when services are rendered is expected and will help us keep our overhead and your fees down. If you have insurance, we will calculate your share at the time services are rendered; or if time is available , we can do a pre-treatment evaluation and let the insurance send us an estiment. We participate in Care Credit which offers no interest financing for qualified individuals. We also accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. Please feel free to ask us about fees.
Insurance
We welcome dental insurance and submit most claims electronically for faster processing. Please be advised that insurance is an agreement between the patient and his insurance carrier; however, we are happy to submit the claims. It is the patient's responsibilty to be familiar with his dental insurance benefits, annual limits, and calendar year limitations. Please bring your dental insurance ID card at your initial appointment and when any change in insurance occurs. We also require a copy of your driver's license for identification and personal security. We are providers for Delta Dental, Blue Cross Blue Shield, MetLife and United Concordia (Tricare).
Privacy Policy
Rankin Dental follows all HIPAA privacy and identity theft prevention guidelines.
Cancellation
If you are unable to keep an appointment, we ask that you kindly provide us with at least 24 hours notice. We ask for this advance notice so that we can offer this appointment to another patient. A fee may be charged if a patient does not show up for an appointment without sufficient notice.
Conclusion
We cannot over emphasize the benefit of getting professional cleanings and check-up exams on a regular basis. Prevention is the best and most cost-effective path to a healthy dentition. We believe that good communication between doctor and patient is essential in order to get the best oral care. We encourage you to ask questions about your treatment.
